2026 marks an important passage in the Evolution of the HSYCO ecosystem. After migrating the CORE and PRO versions, HSYCO Enterprise gets updated to the Strato Pi Max hardware platform, thus completing the transition of the entire line.
The new HSYCO Enterprise substitutes the previous PC based architecture, with a more compact and flexible solution, compatible with HSYCO 3.x and HSYCO 4.x, and thought for a continuous industrial employment.
Following are the main aspects of this update.
1. Updated hardware platform
The server is based on the Raspberry Pi CM5 module, equipped with a Broadcom BCM2712 quad-core Cortex-A76 working at 2,4GHz. Compared with the previous generation, the performance upgrade is significant.
The provided Memory goes up to 16GB of RAM, while main storage is left to an industrial SSD of 960GB, with a reading speed around 300MB/s and writing speed around 100 MB/s. These are notably higher values compared to the mechanical disks of the past, with evident benefits in reactivity and reliability.
2. Operative Continuity and Data Safety
For critical installations, service continuity remains a central requisite. The new platform introduces various mechanisms to minimize the risks of a system arrest.
HSYCO Enterprise integrates a UPS board with Supercapacitors, able to autonomously handle a controlled shut-down in the event of a loss of voltage.
Near the main SSD storage is a recovery file System on eMMC of 64GB, used as an Emergency partition.
The System sinchronizes critical files every 60 seconds and is equipped with and indipendent watchdog hardware that, in case of malfunctions, forces the backup partition to restart.
3. Compact format and possibility of expansion
The server is housed in a compact 9 module DIN case, eliminating the need for external units.
Three extra Expansion slots are available inside (the fourth is occupied by the UPS board). These allow a direct integration between other expansion boards, like:
• serial interfaces RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 and CAN
• analogic and digital I/O modules
• LTE Modem with double SIM and GPS (available in Q1 2026)
This modularity allows the System to be adapted to vastly different applicative environments, without needing additional external hardware.
4. Thought for continuous industrial use
The architecture is designed to work continuously over time. The power supply whitstands an extended range from 10 to 50 Vdc, with moderate consumption.
Cooling is handled automatically thanks to an internal valve, while physical safety is given to an integrated Secure Element Chip (Cripto Chip) and an anti-tampering accelerometer.
Conclusion
HSYCO Enterprise on Strato Pi Max represents a concrete Evolution of the platform: more compact, with higher performance and sturdier. Coupled with the innovation brought on by HSYCO 4, it constitutes a solution thought for large scale projects, both in a building and an industrial environments, simplifying the System integrator’s job, keeping continuity with previous Software Versions and preparing the System for future requirements.
